Wow, another day as a family, its just amazing and better than we even imagined. We woke up to our beautiful girl this morning, changed her diaper, peed everywhere, gave her a bottle and cuddled with her till we brought her downstairs for breakfast. And yes, our first family breakfast. I think we may have over indugled her a bit, she had some of daddy's panckaes, some of my fruit (oh and she loves the advocodos in the fruit saled so mom, can you buy some of those too before we come home?) and she also had cereal. She loves water too, just pounds it back! Poor thing also has a natsy cold and is teething. We gave her some Tylonel which helped alot, she slept from 9:30 to 1 in the afternoon. She was coughing again and sounded so congested so the staff here called the nurse, she told us to go to the childrens hospital which was only a 5 min walk. The doctor said there is no chest infection, that it was just a common cold. So we went through our very first doctor appt with our daughter, it was a bit emotional. The doctor gave us a perscription for some cough medicine which seems to have worked. Since she wasn't feeling well, she cuddled with us both all afternoon and slept. Putting her to bed was the greatest part of the day, she started to feel better and feeling more comfortable with us. While Lee was changing her diaper she was pointing her finger in the air, her and those fingers, I then started a game of pointing my finger at hers, she thought this was pretty funny and for the next 15 min she was totally relaxed with us and showed us her personality. Since we got her yesterday she has been very quiet and expresionless, she only made sounds when she cried but tonight was different and it was the best thing ever! She felt safe and loved enough to relax, play with her toes, roll around on the bed and smile like crazy, we almost got her giggling! She just stared into our eyes and connected with us for the very first time. She is now sleeping like a baby and soon we will be too. Sorry the posts are not as in detail as they usually are, I really wanted them to be so I can remember every little detail but we are just pooped and so ready for bed. Plus I just love watching her sleep. Lee has held and cuddled her way more than me, which i am quite jealous about :), I havent been able to do I want with her becasue my back is in alot of pain so when Lee is holding her I am stroking her hair and giving her kisses. So please just pray that my back hurries the heck up and feel better. I downloaded just a couple of pics for you to enjoy, more to come later. Thank you all of all the love, we appreciate it SO much!

For the back, go to the Hilton and for $15 you can get an amazing hour long massage. My hubby got one every day to help with his back while we were there. Hope you feel better soon so you can enjoy these amazing first few days. :)
ReplyDeleteIt's awesome to see pictures of you with her! And to read about her starting to get more comfortable with you!
